Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

General informaiton: No special measures required.

After inhalation: Supply fresh air; consult a doctor in case of complaints.

After skin contact: Wash with water an dsoap and rinse thoroughly. Seek medical advise if irritation occurs.

After eye contact: Inmediately rinse opened eyes with running water for at least 20 minutes. Seek medical advise if irritation occurs.

After swallowing: Do not induce vomiting. If the person is conscious, give small quantities of water to drink. Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Seek medical advise.

Treatment should be symptomatic and directed to relieving any effects.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguising agents: Foam, dry chemical powder, carbon dioxide and BCF (where reulations permit)

Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture emits toxic fumes under fire condiions (Carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, carbon dioxide)

Advice for firefighters:

Proective equipment: wear breathing apparatus plus protective gloves.

Use water to control fire and cool adjacent area (water a a fine spray)

If safe to do so, remove containers from the path of fire.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:

Put on appropriate personal protective equipment.

Remove people from danger area.

Eliminate all ignition sources (no smoking, flares, sparks or flames in the inmediate area).

Environmental precautions:

Do not allow to enter sewers, surface or ground water.

Dispose according to local regulations.

Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:

Pick up mechanically using appropriate tools.

Avoid raising dust.

Collect spilled product by suitable means. Transfer collected product and other contaminated materials to suitable tanks or container for recycle, recovery or safe disposal.

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling:

Avoid ingestion, inhalatin, skin and eye contact.

Minimize dust generation and accumulation.

Handle in acordance with good industrial hygiene practice and any legal requirements.

Conditions for safe storage, incluidng any incompatibilities:

Suitable container: Lined metal can, lined metal pail/can

Store in tightly closed packings.

Check all containers are clearly labelled and free from leaks.

Store in tightly closed containers at 25ºC. It is best to use the entire contents of the pack after opening.

Avoid reaction with strong acid, alkali and oxidising agents.

Protect from contactink with air, light, heat and moisture.

Exposure controls / personal protection

General protective and hygienic measures:

Avoid contact with the eyes and skin. HTe usual precautionary measures are to be adhered to when handling chemicals. Appropriate engineering controls to avoid dust in air.

Respiratory protection is not required if the product is handled ,

Use protective gloves, impermeable and resistant to the product.

Use safety glasses to avoid eye contact.

Stability and reactivity

Reactivity: Avoid reaction with strong acid, alkali and oxidizing agents

Chemical stability: stable under normal ocnditions.

No thermal descomosition if used according to specifications.

Conditions to avoid: Heat, fire, moisture and incompatible substance.

Hazardous decompositoin products: in case of fire, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and nitrogen oxides are released.

Disposal considerations

Observe community, national or regional regulations for waste handling and treatment.

Disposal of uncleaned packaging must be made accoridn to official regulations.

Recommended cleansing agents: water, if necessary together iwth cleansing agents.
