Description of key information

Calculated half life in air is 0.335 – 0.815 days (24 hr day; OH-concentration 0.5E+06 OH/cm³).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Based on an estimation using SRC AOP v1.92 with smiles notation, the registered substance and Fatty acids, C5-10, esters with pentaerythritol (both under CAS-No. 68424-31-7) are susceptible to indirect photodegradation in air. The estimated half time for the reaction with OH-radicals is 0.335 – 0.815 days (24 hr day; OH-concentration 0.5E+06 OH/cm³). However, indirect photodegradation in air is not a relevant rout since the substance is not likely to be present in the atmosphere due to the low vapor pressure (<0.001Pa).
