Results: In the preliminary test tthe test item started melting at 39°C. The test item showed five stages of melting. The melting started at 37°C.

At 42 °C the last stage of melting was reached (see below).

4,5-dihydro-2-undecyl-1H-imidazole-1-ethanol melted in the range of 37°C to 42 °C (310K to 315K) under ambient pressure.
Executive summary:

The melting point of the test item was measured with the capillary method according to OECD Guideline , EU Method A.1, EPA OPPTS 830.7200 and GLP. No deviation from the guidelines was observed during the test.
