The water solubility of RFR 6634 was determined to be > 100 g/L due to visual inspection of a 1:10 mixture of RFR 6634 and water. A 1:1 mixture of RFR 6634 resulted in a slightly turbid but still liquid mixture. Pretests with regard to the 1-octanol solubility of RFR 6634 revealed a similarly high solubility of the test item in octanol, as 100 mg were dissolvable in 0.4 mL of 1-octanol. However, a 1:1 mixture (test item/octanol) was still a solid, demonstrating that the test item was not solvable in water at this ratio. Accordingly, RFR 6634 was better solvable in water in comparison to 1-octanol. The logPow was determined by estimating the ratio of the water and the octanol solubility.
