Melting / freezing pt.:
> 350 °C
Remarks on result:
not determinable

No melting or sample change (decomposition or sublimation) was observed up to 350°C.

Conclusions:
Melting point: >350°C
No melting or sample change observed up to 350°C, therefore the melting point has been reported as >350°C.

Description of key information

Melting point: >350°C

No melting or sample change observed up to 350°C, therefore the melting point has been reported as >350°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

A determination of the melting point of B331 was conducted as part of a larger package of physico-chemical testing (CiToxLAB Hungary, 2017, Study 15/361 -386AN). THe melting point determination was conducted using the capillary method in accordance with EC test method A1 and OECD test guideline 102. The study was conducted in compliance with GLP.

Triplicate measurements were taken but in each case no melting or sample transformation was observed up to a temperature of 350°C. On this basis it is concluded that the melting point of B331 is greater than 350°C.
