GHS criteria not met
Conclusions:
According to an expert assessment carried out for 2-ethylhexanoic acid, compound with 2-aminoethanol (1:1), this substance is not expected to possess oxidising properties.
Executive summary:

The molecular structure and functionality of 2-ethylhexanoic acid, compound with 2-aminoethanol (1:1) was reviewed in order to determine whether this substance possesses oxidising properties. A screening procedure was adopted to assess oxidising properties that was based on Section 7.13, Annex VII of the REACH regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 and Section 2.14.4.1 of the CLP Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008. The constituents present within 2-ethylhexanoic acid, compound with 2-aminoethanol (1:1) are organic substances that contain predominantly hydrocarbon, carboxylate, amine/ammonium, and hydroxyl moieties. 2-Ethylhexanoic acid, compound with 2-aminoethanol (1:1) contains oxygen atoms that are present as carboxylate and alcohol functional groups. As all the oxygen present are bound to carbon and hydrogen, the registered substance does need not be considered as conferring oxidising properties. No identified constituent contained fluorine or chlorine atoms. Furthermore, the raw materials used in manufacture do not contain oxidising functionalities within them and, therefore, such functionalities would not be introduced into the final product. It is possible to conclude that 2-ethylhexanoic acid, compound with 2-aminoethanol (1:1) does not possess oxidising properties.

Description of key information
