The DSC runs PN14398 and PN14411 in open aluminium crucibles are shown in the Table below. The test item shows during the cooling phase from -100 °C up to room temperature no significant thermal effects, which can be associated with a freezing or respectively melting of the test item. Starting at a temperature of approx. 260°C a very broad exothermic effect is detected. After the measuremt the crucibles are nearly empty, meaning the test item starts to decompose (exothermic) and evaporate out of the crucibles. In the temperature range from room temperature up to 500 °C no endothermic effects, which can be associated with a boiling of the test item, are observed.
