Reaction mass of (Gluconate)3Fe-Na3 and NaCl was observed to be readily biodegradable. Besides to biodegradation and water solubility (633 g/L) no environmental fate test data are available for Reaction mass of (Gluconate)3Fe-Na3 and NaCl. Most of the data like the bioaccumulation potential or transport and distribution are estimated using a QSAR calculation or waived. Some data are read across from the available study from the structurally similar substance Sodium glucoheptonate (CAS no 31138 -65 -5).

Reaction mass of (Gluconate)3Fe-Na3 and NaCl is like Sodium glucoheptonate readily biodegradable. In accordance with column 2 of REACH (Regulation 1907/2006/EC) hydrolytical stability is not evaluated because (Gluconate)3 -FeNa3 is considered to be readily biodegradable.

In accordance with column 2 of REACH (Regulation 1907/2006/EC) Annex IX, bioaccumulation testing is not necessary as the substance has a low potential for bioaccumulation (substance is a salt, the log Kow is <3, water solubiity is 633 g/L).

The high water solubility and low vapour pressure designate water to be a major target compartment for this substance.

In accordance with column 2 of REACH (Regulation 1907/2006/EC) Annex VIII, adsorption/desorption testing is not necessary as the substance has a low potential for adsorption (the log Kow is <3). In addition, the substance is readily biodegradable (70% degradation at day 7).
