A predicted vapour pressure of 3.0 Pa at 25°C was determined for the substance using a validated QSAR estimation method. The result is considered to be reliable.

In contact with water, the substance hydrolyses rapidly to form [3-(2,3-epoxypropoxy)propyl]methylsilanediol and methanol.

The vapour pressure of the silanol hydrolysis product was estimated to be 2.8E-04 Pa at 25°C using the QSAR method.

Methanol has a reported vapour pressure of 12790 Pa at 25°C (OECD 2004).
