Results and discussion

Flammable solids
Key result
Test procedure:
burning rate test: preliminary screening test
Remarks on result:
substance does not ignite and propagate combustion either by burning with flame or smouldering along 200 mm of the powder train within the 2 minutes test period

Any other information on results incl. tables

Preliminary screening test results

In the preliminary screening test, the test flame was applied for over two minutes; the heated part of the sample melted almost immediately.

No secondary flames or flame spreads were observed. The molten sample did not propagate the combustion but after a few minutes a superficial crust formed at the edge.

The preliminary screening test was performed in duplicate and similar observations were obtained in both tests.

Conclusion

According to test method A.10, the test item should not be considered as readily flammable.
