First-aid measures

General advice :

If you feel unwell, seek medical advice (show the label where possible).

Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.

Take off contaminated clothing and shoes immediately.

If inhaled :

If inhaled, remove to fresh air. If breathings becomes difficult, call a physician.

In case of skin contact :

In case of contact, immediately wash skin with soap and copious amounts of water.

In case of eye contact :

In case of contact, immediately flush eyes with copious amounts of water for at least 15 minutes. Assure adequate flushing by separating the eyelids with fingers.

Call a physician.

If swallowed :

If swallowed, wash out mouth with water. Call a physician.

Fire-fighting measures

- Suitable extinguishing media:

Water spray, Carbon dioxide, Dry chemical powder, or appropriate foam.

- Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:

Do not use a solid water stream as it may scatter and spread fire.

Hazardous decomposition products may be formed under fire conditions (see section 10). Exposure to decomposition products may be a hazard to health.

- Advice for fire fighter:

Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective clothing to prevent contact with skin and eyes.

Further information : Standard procedure for chemical fires. Use extinguishing measures that are appropriate to local circumstances and the surrounding environment. In the event of fire and/or explosion do not breathe fumes.

Collect contaminated fire extinguishing water separately.

This must not be discharged into drains. Fire residues and contaminated fire extinguishing water must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.

Accidental release measures

- Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:

Exercise appropriate precautions to minimize direct contact with skin or eyes and prevent inhalation of dust.

- Environmental precautions:

Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system. If the product contaminates rivers and lakes or drains inform respective authorities.

- Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:

Sweep up, place in a bag and hold for waste disposal. Avoid raising dust. Ventilate area and wash spill site after material pickup is complete.

Handling and storage

- Precautions for safe handling:

Advice on safe handling :

Avoid breathing vapor. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and clothing. Avoid prolonged or repeated exposure.

Advice on protection against fire and explosion:

Normal measures for preventive fire protection. Take precautionary measures against static discharge.

Use explosion-proof equipment.

Dust explosion class :

no data available

- Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:

Requirements for storage :

Keep tightly closed. Keep away from heat, open flame. Store in a cool and areas and containers dry place.

Advice on common storage :

Keep away from food, drink and animal feeding stuffs. Keep away from oxidizing agents and strongly acid or alkaline materials.

Never allow product to get in contact with water during storage.

Other data :

No decomposition if stored and applied as directed.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Control parameters

ENGINEERING CONTROLS : Safety shower and eye bath. Mechanical exhaust required.

STANDARD CONTROL CONCENTRATION: Not established.

Exposure controls

Engineering measures:

Provide adequate ventilation.

Personal protective equipment:

Respiratory protection : NIOSH certified particulate respirator (APF 10).

Hand protection:

Material : Protective gloves are preferable.

Remarks : Choose gloves to protect hands against chemicals depending on the concentration and quantity of the hazardous substance and specific to place of work. For special applications, we recommend clarifying the resistance to chemicals of the aforementioned protective gloves with the glove manufacturer.

Eye protection : Chemical safety goggles are preferable.

Skin and body protection : Choose body protection according to the amount and concentration of the dangerous substance at the work place.

Hygiene measures :

Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice.

General industrial hygiene practice.

Do not breathe dust.

Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing.

When using do not eat, drink or smoke.

Wash hands before breaks and at the end of workday.

Wash contaminated clothing before re-use.

Environmental exposure controls

General advice :

Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system.

If the product contaminates rivers and lakes or drains inform respective authorities.

Stability and reactivity

Reactivity

STABILITY : Stable.

Chemical stability

The product is chemically stable.

Possibility of hazardous reactions

Stability: No decomposition if stored and applied as directed.

Dust can form an explosive mixture in air.

Conditions to avoid

Heat, flames and sparks. Exposure to moisture.

Incompatible materials

Materials to avoid : Strong oxidizing agents, Acids.

Hazardous decomposition products

Hazardous decomposition products: Carbon monoxide, Carbon dioxide.

HAZARDOUS POLYMERIZATION

Hazardous Polymerization : Will not occur.

Disposal considerations

Waste treatment methods

Advice on disposal and packaging: Contact a licensed professional waste disposal service to dispose of this material.  Dissolve or mix the material with a combustible solvent and burn in a chemical incinerator equipped with an afterburner and scrubber. Observe all federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
