As a preliminary measuring for determining the thermal stability of the test substance a DSC was performed in a closed glass pan. The measurement in a closed glass pan shows an endothermic effect (melting) in the range 60-90 °C, with an onset of 75 °C and an exothermal decomposition in the range 180-240 °C, with a decomposition energy of 158 J/g.

Main test

In aluminium pans, the diagrams show the endothermal effect (melting) in the range between 55 and 90 °C, with a medium onset of 73.2 °C and an exothermal decomposition beginning at about 190 °C.
