Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
GHS criteria not met
Conclusions:
2,5-diphenyloxazole's flash point was tsted in accordance with EU Method A.9 via a GLP certified laboratory using the equilibrium closed cup method. It was determined that the flash point of the substance was 199.0 degrees celcius +/- 2 at an atmospheric pressure of 99.4 kPa. The substance does not meet the GHS criteria as it is not a liquid and no burning rate test was conducted in this assay.
Executive summary:

2,5-diphenyloxazole's flash point was tsted in accordance with EU Method A.9 via a GLP certified laboratory using the equilibrium closed cup method. Using 4g of the substance for results above 100 degree's Celcius. The test flame was introduced into the sample cup for approximately 2½ seconds by sliding the cup shutter open. The substance was heated and observed at intervals of 5 ºC starting at 22.0 ºC to the observed flash point. The testing was conducted at 101.3 kPa and corrected for 99.4 kPa via the following equation:

Corrected flash point = C + 0.23 (101.325 - p)

C = observed flash point [°C]

p = ambient atmospheric pressure [kPa]

It was determined that the flash point of the substance was 199.0 degrees celcius +/- 2 at an atmospheric pressure of 99.4 kPa. The substance does not meet the GHS criteria as it is not a liquid and no burning rate test was conducted in this assay.
