Thermal Stability:

In the temperature range of 120 - 130 °C a very small exothermic effect can be observed. At a temperature of 250 °C the test item starts to decompose. The test was terminated at a temperature of 300 °C.

Effusion method: Vapour pressure balance

The vapour pressure was measured in the temperature range of 20 to 39 °C.

The constants of the Antoine equation were derived from the measured data points of the vapour pressure curve:

log10 VP = 14.7698 - 4471.81 / (273.15+T)

The vapour pressure of the test item derived from this regression for the temperatures of 20, 25 and 50 °C were 0.33, 0.59 and 8.54, respectively.

Conclusions:
Low volatility (based on volatility bands criteria for occupational exposure (Chesar / ECETOC TRA), << 500 Pa).
Executive summary:

The vapour pressure of the test substance was measured under GLP according to OECD 104 / EU A4 guideline by effusion (vapour pressure balance) method.

A preliminary thermal stability test by DSC showed decomposition starting from ca 250°C.

A series of seven measurements was recorded between 20 and 39°C, corresponding to 0.34 to 2.65 Pa.

The vapour pressure of the test item was interpolated from the regression to be 0.33 Pa at 20°C, and 0.59 Pa at 25°C.

Description of key information

Low volatility.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
0.33 Pa
at the temperature of:
20 °C
