The melting temperature of the test item was determined in accordance with the test method OECD Guideline 102 “OECD Guideline For The Testing Of Chemicals, adopted by the Council on 27th July 1995, Melting Point/Melting Range” (similar to the test method A.1. “Melting/Freezing Temperature” as described in the Official Journal of the European Communities L383A). The practical test performance was based on the in-house test procedure VTA(S)31X93001.02: "Melting temperature determination (Tm) of solid and liquid substances by means of DSC".

The test item shows possible a melting area of crystalline subcomponents between -5 °C and 260 °C according to the definition in the OECD Guideline 102 (mean value from repeat determination).

-5 °C to 261 °C (from first measurement)

-6 °C to 260 °C (from second measurement)

-5 °C to 258 °C (from third measurement)

Between 308 °C and 312 °C a small melting effect of a part component is visible. The cooling runs show exothermic effects (possible crystallization).
