Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Ecotoxicological information:

Valid acute studies based on international guidelines are available for aquatic invertebrates and algae. Toxic effect were observed for the two aquatic trophic levels.

For aquatic invertebrates Daphnia magna, the most sensitive organisms, a 48h-EC50 value of 2.18 mg/L was determined based on geometric mean measured concentrations.

For the algae Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata, an 72h-ErC50 and an 72h-ErC10 values based on growth rate were determined to be >6.49 mg/L and 5.80 mg/L respectively, based on geometric mean measured concentrations.

In addition, the registered substance was not toxic to activated sludge of a municipal sewage treatment plan up to the maximum test substance concentration of 1000 mg/L (3h-NOEC value).

Environmental fate and pathways:

The registered substance is not readily biodegradable and therefore, in the absence of other studies (e.g. readily/enhanced/simulation biodegradability tests), is considered potentially persistent (P) or very persistent (vP) in the environment.

Also, the registered substance is considered moderately mobile in soils with a log Koc value at 2.45 for soil (Koc = 282) and 2.50 for sewage sludge (Koc = 316), and with a log Kow value at 2.4, the substance is not considered to be bioaccumulative according to CLP (< 4.0) and PBT criteria (< 4.5).

Conclusion on classification

Data available :

- EC50 comprised between 1 and 10 mg/L

- Not readily biodegradable

- log Kow = 2.4

Classification according to the Annex VI of the Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP): The registered substance is classified as Aquatic Chronic 2 for the environment.
