Conduct not guideline-conform: only males used, number of mice per group not documented, measurements after 48h instead of 24h, number of cells analysed too low, no data from individual animals given, dose response for micronuclei did not reach statistical significance, high control background, statistical analyses flawed. It is explicitly noted that this study has already previously been discussed, criticised and subsequently been disregarded by the Technical Committee for Classification and Labelling of the European Chemicals Bureau (ECB), during discussions on molybdenum trioxide (TC C&L meeting, 21-24 September, 2004).
