Description of key information

The test item was tested in three in vivo studies (rabbit) for its skin and eye irritation potential.

Eye: one study w/o any signs, two studies with weak signs of irritation within 24 h, fully reversible within 8 d, one guideline study (OECD 404) with structural analogue w/o any signs

Skin: one study w/o any signs, one study with weak signs of irritation within 24 h, fully reversible within 8 d, one study with weak signs of irritation within 24 h but too short observation time (not considered for classification), one guideline study (OECD 404) with structural analogue w/o any signs

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

The test item and its structural analogue did not induce eye or skin irritating effects that would meet the classification criteria of the CLP Regulation. All weak signs of irritation observed with the test item were fully reversible within 8 d. The study with the highest test material content did not induce any signs of skin or eye irritation. The structural analogue substance did not cause any irritation effects in two guideline studies (OECD 404 and 405).
