Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

According to the REACH Regulation EC 1907/2006, Annex IX, Column 2 (specific rules for adaptation from Column 1), sediment toxicity testing is not proposed by the registrant because the Chemical Safety Assessment, according to Annex I, does not indicate the need to investigate further the effects on sediments.

The available information on STP and sludge indicate that removal is enough complete not to affect the environment.

Based on the estimated koc 3.16 l/kg (corresponding to a log koc of 0.5), the calculated PNEC is 0.392 mg/Kg freshwater sediment dw (ca 0.085 mg/kg sediment ww). The highest predicted exposure concentration conservative value is around 0.196 mg/kg dw, with a local RCR of 0.499 (see Chemical Safety Assessment), while the monitored quantity of a Stilbene Fluorescent Whitening substance according to Stoll 1997 is of maximum 0.5 mg/Kg sediment[1].

Based on Chemical Safety Assessment outcomes no further investigations are needed.
