Reference
Endpoint:
water solubility
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
test procedure in accordance with generally accepted scientific standards and described in sufficient detail
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 105 (Water Solubility)
GLP compliance:
not specified
Type of method:
flask method
Water solubility:
99.8 g/L
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
2.5
Remarks on result:
other: +/- 1.80 g/L
Details on results:
In some cases, the PGM concentrations measured by ICP-OES showed a tendency of increasing values at each equilibration time. If the last two vessels varied by less than 15%, the test was deemed satisfactory. If the last two vessels varied by more than 15% then the analysis was repeated with longer equilibration times until the criteria was met.
Conclusions:
The water solubility of triammonium hexachlororhodate was reported as 99.8 g/L at 20°C.
Executive summary:

Gregory (2014) followed a standard water solubility test method and is considered suitable for use as the key study for this endpoint. The water solubility of triammonium hexachlororhodate was reported as 99.8 g/L at 20°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
99.8 g/L
at the temperature of:
20 °C
