First-aid measures
1. Description of first aid measures
First-aid measures general : Call a poison center or a doctor if you feel unwell.
First-aid measures after inhalation : Remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing. Call a poison center or a doctor if you feel unwell.
First-aid measures after skin contact : Wash off with soap and plenty of water. Take off contaminated clothing. If skin irritation occurs:
Get medical advice/attention.
First-aid measures after eye contact : Rinse immediately and thoroughly, pulling the eyelids well away from the eye (15 minutes minimum). Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. If eye irritation persists: Get medical advice/attention.
First-aid measures after ingestion : Call a poison center or a doctor if you feel unwell. Do NOT induce vomiting. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Drink plenty of water.
2. Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed
Symptoms/effects after inhalation : May cause respiratory irritation.
Symptoms/effects after skin contact : Irritation.
Symptoms/effects after eye contact : Eye irritation.
3. Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed
Treat symptomatically.
Fire-fighting measures
1. Extinguishing media
Suitable extinguishing media : Water spray. Dry powder. Alcohol resistant foam. Carbon dioxide.
2. Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
Hazardous decomposition products in case of fire: Toxic fumes may be released.
3. Advice for firefighters
Protection during firefighting : Do not attempt to take action without suitable protective equipment. As in any fire, wear a self-contained breathing apparatus in pressure- demand MSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent), and full protective gear. Compressed air/oxygen apparatus. Decomposes on exposure to temperature rise: release of irritant gases/vapours.
Accidental release measures
1. Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
1.1. For non-emergency personnel
Emergency procedures : Ventilate spillage area.
1.2. For emergency responders
Protective equipment : Do not attempt to take action without suitable protective equipment.
2. Environmental precautions
Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to do so. Do not let product enter drains. Discharge into the environment must be avoided.
3. Methods and material for containment and cleaning up
Methods for cleaning up : Keep in suitable and closed containers for disposal. Soak up with inert absorbent material (for example sand, sawdust, a universal binder, silica gel). Vacuum or sweep up the material and place into a suitable disposal container.
Other information : Dispose of materials or solid residues at an authorized site
Handling and storage
1. Precautions for safe handling
Precautions for safe handling : Avoid breathing mist, vapours. Do not ingest. If swallowed then seek immediate medical assistance. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Wear personal protective equipment. Remove immediately contaminated clothing. Wash clothing before re-using. Wash thoroughly after handling.
Hygiene measures : Wash contaminated clothing before reuse. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Always wash hands after handling the product.
2. Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
Storage conditions : Store in a dry place. Store in a closed container. Store in a well-ventilated place. Keep cool.
