Description of key information

After evaporation or exposure to the air, the product will be rapidly degraded by photochemical processes.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The photodegradation of reaction mass of citronellyl acetate and neryl acetate and geranyl acetate has been assessed based on the main component geranyl acetate (59.9%) which is futhermore a structural analog to neryl acetate. The photodegradation rate was calculated using SRC AOP v1.92. The half life of the substance was assumed to be 2.163 h at a rate constant of 178.0422 E-12 cm³/molecule sec and OH radicals as sensitizer (BASF SE, 2011).
