Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

The determination of the flammability of the test item was performed in accordance with the EEC Directive 92/69, Part A, Methods for the determination of physico-chemical properties, A. 10 "Flammability (solids)", EEC Publication No. L383, December 1992.

FAT 60'253/A could not be ignited with a flame during the preliminary test (contact time of about 2 minutes). In contact with the ignition source, an orange coloured flame was observed without evolving any smoke. FAT 60'253/A melted and a caramel coloured melt remained.

Therefore, no main test was performed.

In conclusion, FAT 60'253/A is not "highly flammable" according to the criteria of the guideline.
