Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
General advice : Get medical advice/ attention if you feel unwell. Remove/Take off immediately all contaminated clothing.
If inhaled : If breathed in, move person into fresh air. If you feel unwell, seek medical advice (show the label where possible).
In case of skin contact : Wash off immediately with soap and plenty of water.
In case of eye contact : Rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes. Consult a physician.
If swallowed : If swallowed, rinse mouth with water (only if the person is conscious). Consult a physician.
Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed: Treat symptomatically.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media : Water spray, Carbon dioxide (CO2), Dry chemical Foam
Unsuitable extinguishing media: High volume water jet
Specific hazards during firefighting: Burning produces noxious and toxic fumes.
Specific hazards during firefighting : Burning produces noxious and toxic fumes.
Special protective equipment for firefighters: Wear full protective clothing and self-contained breathing apparatus.
Further information : Evacuate endangered area, seal off area. Wear suitable protective equipment. Do not disperse powdered product in air.
In case of fire hazardous decomposition products may be produced such as:, Carbon monoxide (CO), Carbon dioxide (CO2), Nitrogen oxides (NOx)
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions : Avoid contact with the skin and the eyes. Avoid breathing dust. The substance does not dissolve readily in water.
Environmental precautions : The product should not be allowed to enter drains, watercourses or the soil.
Methods for cleaning up : Sweep up and shovel into suitable containers for disposal.
Avoid dust formation.
Ventilate the area.
Clean contaminated surface thoroughly.
Handling and storage
Advice on safe handling : Wear respiratory protection.
Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
Handle substance within a closed system.
With Local Exhaust Ventilation
Avoid dust formation.
Avoid dust accumulation in enclosed space.
Advice on protection against fire and explosion: Take measures to prevent the build up of electrostatic charge.
Avoid dust formation.
Hygiene measures : Wash hands before breaks and at the end of workday.
Use protective skin cream before handling the product.
Take off immediately all contaminated clothing and wash it before reuse.
Requirements for storage areas and containers: Keep only in the original container. Keep container tightly closed.
Further information on storage conditions: Keep containers tightly closed in a cool, well-ventilated place.

Exposure controls / personal protection
During its lifecycle the substance is handled under strictly controlled conditions and is rigorously contained in accordance with Art. 18.
Based on the knowledge of the basic hazards to humans and environment technical, organizational and PPE measures are taken to minimize release and exposure of this substance. National regulatory requirements for the handling of chemicals are also fulfilled. Employees are regularly trained. The efficiency of these measures is controlled e.g. by workplace measurements. In case of deviations these measures are adapted.
Eye protection : Tightly fitting safety goggles
Hand protection: Chemical resistant gloves
Skin and body protection : Wear suitable protective clothing.
Respiratory protection : In the case of dust or aerosol formation use respirator with an approved filter.
Effective dust mask
Protective measures : Observe the usual precautions for handling chemicals.
Do not breathe dust.
Stability and reactivity
Stable under normal conditions.
Conditions to avoid : Keep away from open flames, hot surfaces and sources of ignition.
Keep away from heat.
Materials to avoid : Strong oxidizing agents
Disposal considerations
Product:
Product should be taken to a suitable and authorized waste disposal site in accordance with relevant regulations and if necessary after consultation with the waste disposal operator and/or the competent Authorities
Special waste incineration plant with flue gas dust scrubber
Contaminated packaging : Dispose of in accordance with local regulations.
