Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flash point at 101 325 Pa:
174 °C

Additional information

In the key GLP study, conducted according to EU Method A.9, the flash point of the test material was determined using the Pensky-Martens closed cup apparatus. In the preliminary study, the approximate flash point was determined to provide the set point for the main study. The mean flash point determined from duplicate studies in the main test was 174 °C at about 102 kPa.

In the supporting GLP study based on EU Method A.9 and US EPA Test Guideline OPPTS 830.6315, the flash point of the test material was again determined using the Pensky-Martens closed cup apparatus. In a preliminary study, an approximate flash point of 255 °C was determined to provide the set point for the main study. The mean flash point determined from duplicate studies in the main test was 242 °C (range 240 to 244) at standard atmospheric pressure (760 mmHg).
