Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - EYES: Flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids. Get medical aid.
Emergency measure - SKIN: Flush skin with plenty of soap and water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing and shoes. Get medical aid if irritation develops or persists.
Emergency measure - INGESTION: If victim is conscious and alert, give 2-4 cupfuls of milk or water. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Get medical aid.
Fire-fighting measures
Special methods (on small fires): if area is heavily exposed to fire and if conditions permit, let fire burn itself out since water may increase the area contaminated. Cool containers/tanks with spray water.
Product arising from burning: under fire situation, this material may generate toxic gases and poisonous and corrosive fumes of HBr.
Protective equipment: in the event of fire, wear a self-contained breathing apparatus and a protective suit.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions: wear appropriate personal protective equipment during clean up. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Avoid inhalation. Stay upwind. Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system.
Environmental precautionary: if accidental spillage or washings enter drains or watercourses contact local Environment Agency. Evacuate area. Avoid rising of dust.
Cleaning up methods: sweep up, place in a solid waste container for later disposal. Residual trace can be wiped away.
Handling and storage
Technical measures/Precautions: Handle with appropriate personal protective equipment under ventilation. Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
Safe handling: Keep away from heat and sources of ignition.
Do not mixture with: strong acids, nor bases in mass. In case of accidental mixture, follow special operating modes.
STORAGE
Store: Keep containers tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place at 5 °C. Store in a place accessible by authorized persons only.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Plastic drums with plastic bag and aluminum foil bag.
Room: Local adequately ventilated

Exposure controls / personal protection
- Respiratory protection: Respirator with P2 filters.
- Eye protection: Safety goggles.
- Hand protection: Suitable protective gloves. Disposable gloves in rubber or polyethylene. Wash the gloves before undress them.
- Skin and body protection: Protective suit.
- Hygiene measures: Wash hands and face before breaks and immediately after handling the product. Keep away from food, drink, and animal feeding stuffs. When using, do not eat, drink, or smoke. Do not breathe dust.
- Further information: Remove and wash contaminated clothing and gloves, including the inside, before re-use.
Stability and reactivity
Dangerous reactions: if heated to high temperature or exposed to fire the product may generate toxic gases, as CO, and poisonous and corrosive fumes of HBr.
Disposal considerations
Must be incinerated in a suitable incineration plant holding a permit delivered by the competent authorities. Do not allow material to contaminate ground water system. Do not contaminate surface water.
