Additional information

In accordance with ECHA’s guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment, chapter R7c (v3.0 ; June 2017; pp. 154 -159), for soil hazard category 3 substances as is the case for the test item (Non Readily biodegradable substance classified as toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effets), confirmatory long-term terrestrial toxicity testing on invertebrates and microorganisms activity must be carried out. Data on toxicity to soil microorganisms and toxicity to soil macroorganisms, from studies following OECD TG 216 and OECD TG 222 respectively are available.

56d NOEC repro= 555.6mg/kg dw

28d NOEC nitrate inhibition = 8.3 mg/kg dw

Since the exposure assessment of the test item, based on PNECsoil determined with an assessment factor, does not indicate any risk for terrestrial compartment under any scenario - all RCRs to all compartments are below 1 and all the supported uses are therefore assessed to be safe - no additional terrestrial toxicity testing are needed.
