Description of key information

Predicted  Partition coefficient of test substance [8-[(p-aminophenyl)azo]-7-hydroxy-2-naphthyl]trimethylammonium chloride was estimated to be log Kow =0.88.

Additional information

On the basis of prediction using Danish QSAR modelling database (2016), Melting point of test substance [8-[(p-aminophenyl)azo]-7-hydroxy-2-naphthyl]trimethylammonium chloride was estimated to be 280.11 deg C.

In a opinion given by Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety for Basic Brown 16 (2012), a study report by COLIPA mentioned that the Basic Brown 16 melted at 169-175 °C.
