Description of key information

A  log Kow value of 3.8 is measured using the slow-stirring method according to OECD 123 indicating a moderate bioaccumulation potential. All primary fatty amine ethoxylates are readily biodegradable and are rapidly biotransformed by fish liver S9 fractions it is therefore unlikely that they will accumulate in the food chain.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

BCF (aquatic species):
149 L/kg ww

Additional information

With a log Kow of 3.8 the BCFBAF model predicts a BCF of 149 L/kg wwt (regression based).

The calculated BCF value indicates that the substance has a low bioaccumulation potential. The low calculated BCF is considered to be realistic as primary fatty amine ethoxylates are readily biodegradable and were found to be rapidly biotransformed by fish liver S9 fractions.
