Description of key information

EC50 (48 hour, Daphnia magna) = 26 mg/l (nominal)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The toxic effects of the test item on invertebrates was evaluated in an experimental study according to the OCED Guideline 202 (1984). Daphnia magna were exposed to test item concentrations of 3.2, 5.6, 10, 18, 32, 56, 100, 180 and 320 mg/l in a static test for 48 hours and were then monitored for immobilisation, defined as no whole body movement for 10 seconds after water agitation at 24 and 48 hours. Flasks were monitored for oxygen concentration, pH level and test item concentration at the beginning and end of the study period. The EC50 at 24 and 48 hours were calculated using the PROBIT Analysis with 95 % confidence limits and the EC50, 48h resulted equal to 26 mg/l.

Based on the read across considerations, same results apply to the target substance
