Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The measured log Pow of the test substance is -0.45 (BASF AG, 1988, report no. 125378/01). This indicates a low potential for accumulation in organisms and a low affinity to organic carbon molecules in sediment. The pKa of the chemical is 7.43 (calculated, BASF SE, 2016, see IUCLID chapter 4.21) indicating that under environmental relevant acidic and neutral pH values the chemical is partly protonated. Cations have a higher tendency to adsorb to sediment particles, however, a calculation according to Franco and Trapp (2008, 2009, 2010) demonstrates, that the log Koc and hence the affinity to sediment particles remains below the trigger value of 3 even for the protonated molecules (BASF SE, 2016, see IUCLID chapter 5.4.1). Therefore, studies on sediment dwelling organisms are not deemed necessary.
