First-aid measures
First-aid measures general : Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Remove person to uncontaminated area.
First-aid measures after inhalation : Assure fresh air breathing. Obtain medical attention if breathing difficulty persists.
First-aid measures after skin contact : Rinse immediately with plenty of water. Get medical advice/attention if you feel unwell.
First-aid measures after eye contact : In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
First-aid measures after ingestion : Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Rinse mouth. Get medical advice/attention.
Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed : Get medical advice and attention if you feel unwell.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media : Bank fires with firefighting foam. Carbon dioxide (CO2). Powder.
Fire hazard : Under fire conditions, hazardous fumes will be present. carbon oxides (CO and CO2).
Precautionary measures fire : Evacuate the danger area. Do not breathe fumes from fires or vapours from decomposition.
Firefighting instructions : Fight fire from safe distance and protected location.
Protection during firefighting : Do not enter fire area without proper protective equipment, including respiratory protection. Selfcontained breathing apparatus.
Other information : Large amounts of the product should not be allowed to enter drains or water courses or be deposited where it can affect ground or surface waters.
Accidental release measures
General measures : Ventilate area. Contain the spilled material by bunding.
Emergency procedures : Evacuate area.
Protective equipment : Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye or face protection.
Environmental precautions : Prevent entry to sewers and public waters.
For containment : Take up liquid spill into inert absorbent material, e.g.: sand, earth, vermiculite.
Methods for cleaning up : Collect spills and put it into appropriated container. Wash away remainder with plenty of water.
Other information : Dispose of at authorized waste collection point.
Handling and storage
This substance is handled under Strictly Controlled Conditions in accordance with the REACH regulation Article 17(3) for on-site isolated intermediate and, in case the substance is transported to other sites for further processing, the substance should be handled at these sites under Strictly Controlled Conditions as specified in REACH regulation Article 18(4). Site documentation to support safe handling arrangements including the selection of engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls in accordance with risk-based management systems is available at each Manufacturing site.
Written confirmation of application of Strictly Controlled Conditions has been received from every affected Distributor and Downstream Processor/User of the Registrant’s intermediate.
Additional hazards when processed : Vapour exhaust preferably at emission point.
Precautions for safe handling : Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing. Handle carefully. Avoid all unnecessary exposure. Do not breathe gas, fumes, vapour or spray. Use personal protective equipment as required.
Hygiene measures : Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Do no eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Wash hands and other exposed areas with soap and water before leaving work.
Storage conditions : Keep in a cool, well-ventilated place away from moisture. Store in tightly closed containers.
