Description of key information

Dibutyl phthalate will be slowly degraded by photochemical processes with OH-radicals.

Additional information

One study regarding hydrolysis is available. It was performed according to EU method C.7 at pH valus of 4,7 and 9 and a temeprature of 50°C and, additionally at 39°C for pH = 9 (BASF. The lowest half-life values occur at a pH of 9 seulting in a DT50 of 2.7 days at 50°C and 8.2 days at 39°C.
