Description of key information

Key ready biodegradability test data indicate that that the study substance is inherently biodegradable, based on CO2 evolution-OECD 301B and respirometric OECD 301F methods.  In the OECD 301F test, the overall biodegradation of the study substance exceeded the >60% threshold at 39 days.

Additional information

The study substance has been shown to biodegrade to greater than 60% in two key studies. In one study, biodegradation reached 53.2% in 28 days and 64.2% by Day 35. In second study, 60.4% biodegradation was reached by Day 39, owing to a little lag-time. Overall, the available biodegradation data clearly indicate that the study substance can be extensively and rapidly biodegradable to greater than 60% in 35 to 39 days. Collectively, these findings indicate that the study substance is capable of reaching greater than 60% biodegradation (threshold for ready biodegradability -see ECHA Chapter R.7b).
