Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The vapor pressure has been determined using the gas saturation method. The vapor pressure of the substance was measured at test temperatures of 15°C, 25°C and 35°C and was determined to be resp.: 2.5 x 10^-2 Pa, 8.1 x 10^-2 Pa and 2.6 x 10^-1 Pa. The key value was interpolated from the vapor pressure curve.
Cytec (2017) SDS for AEROSOL® MA-35 Surfactant
Vp (25°C) = 0.083 Pa

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
0.083 Pa
at the temperature of:
25 °C

Additional information

The attached report states CAS number 105 -52 -2, which was used in the passed and only describes the maleic ester. CAS 67953 -19 -9 is a better choice, because it also describes the fumaric ester. The manufacturing process and the involved raw materials have not been changed.
