Additional information

A study assessing the toxicity on freshwater fish (Danio rerio) (OECD testing guideline 203) of an analogue (Pentaerythritol, ethoxylated, esters with acrylic acid CAS N. 51728 -26 -8) to the test item reported an effect concentration value (LC50) of 1.76 mg/L after 96h of exposure.

In order to validate the use of the data generated for this analogue to fill by read-across the dossier of the test item, a short-term toxicity test with the same species than the one used for the analogue (Danio rerio) was performed according to the OECD testing guideline 203.

The effect concentration value after 96h of exposure was higher (LC50 = 7.9 mg/L) than the one for the analogue (LC50 = 1.76 mg/L). This result shows that the ecotoxicological data generated for the analogue can be used as worst-case data to fill by read across the ecotoxicological endpoints for the dossier of the test item

See the read-across justification for further informations.
