Additional information

Nickel 2 -ethylhexanoate (NiEHA) is generally described as a green solid sticky paste with a melting point below -50°C. The relative density of NiEHA is 0,78 g/cm3 at 20°C and is non- volatile (VP= 9.2E-5 Pa) . Water solubility based on dissolved nickel is 110 mg/L for the pure substance without impurities. When nickel acetate is present, this value can change dependent on the contribution of this impurity to the total amount of dissolved nickel. The octanol-water partition is less than 3, thus the substance is only slightly lipophilic. The substance is not flammable nor tends it to self-ignition. Further, this substance is void of any chemical structures commonly associated with explosive or oxidative properties.
