It consists predominantly of aromatic hydrocarbons having carbon numbers predominantly in the range of C6 through C8, including benzene.

All short term toxicity to fish data came from ExxonMobil (2003).
CAS No 68513-69-9 and 68921-67-5: The 96-hour LL50 was reported to be 1.1 mg/L. LC50 was reported to be 1.0 mg/L. This study is GLP compliant and follows a standard guideline. It is considered reliable and suitable for use as a key study. Although the LC50 was reported to be 1.0 mg/L, as the test substance is a hydrocarbon stream with various components reporting a measured concentration does not relate to a concentration of the raw stream. The results reported as WAF which better represent the potential toxicity of the test substance have been used instead.
CAS No 68513-69-9: The 96-hour LC50 was reported to be 4.4 mg/L and the 96-hour LL50 was 5.6 mg/L. This study follows a standard guideline and is GLP compliant. There were some deviations from the protocol but these did not affect the outcome of the study. This study is considered acceptable for use as a supporting study.
