Description of key information

Chapter R.10 of the Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment (ECHA 2008, p. 42) indicates that “the chemicals of concern with respect to secondary poisoning include lipophilic organic chemicals and some metal compounds”. The substance shows a low adsorptive (log Koc =2.2) and bioaccumulative (BCF =123) potential, and is readily biodegradable. In addition, a mammalian dataset is available for the substance. Hence, a relevant presence in soil and a considerable exposure of birds is not expected. Therefore, and because of reasons of animal welfare, no study on toxicity on birds is proposed
