Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
hydrolysis
Data waiving:
study technically not feasible
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is highly insoluble in water
Justification for type of information:
Please refer to the endpoint water solubility:
The solubility in water of the only pseudo-constituent which could hydrolise potentially (fatty acid methyl ester) is very low (below or near to the detection limit). However, the solubility of the ‘whole’ substance (measured in aqueous phase) is significant due to presence of methanol, but there is no scientific relation between this type of 'water solubility' caused by methanol and the framework of the OECD hydrolysis test.
