In accordance with section 1 of REACH regulation (1907/2006) Annex XI, the study does not need to be performed because Boehmite would be predicted to be negative for oxidising properties on the basis of the stability of the chemical structure and its use as flame retardants in industrial products. Therefore omission of the test in considered justified.
Justification for classification or non-classification
According to the Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 on classification, labelling and packaging (CLP) of substances and mixtures Boehmite would be predicted to be negative for oxidising properties on the basis of the stability of the chemical structure and its use as flame retardants in industrial products.
