Biodegradation in water:
readily biodegradable

Additional information

Guideline study results indicate the γ-Butyrolactone (GBL) undergoes rapid biodegradation in water. In an OECD 301C MITI study, GBL was found to be readily biodegradable (METI Japan, 2007).
