Description of key information

Dynamic viscosity is 3 mPas at 25 °C (manufacturer's in-house method: DKTM-112.1). In the exposure assessment, the viscosity of isopropyl alcohol is used as a key value.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Viscosity:
3 mPa · s (dynamic)
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

Key value was determined with capillary method by using manufacturer's in-house method DKTM-112 -1. As titanium isopropanolate is hydrolytically unstable (half-life < 3 minutes) and the hydrolysis is the driving force for the fate and pathways of the substance, viscosity of isopropyl alcohol (IPA) released in water is used as a key value in CSA when relevant (see section 9 & 10 of CSR). Viscosity of IPA (2.038 mPas @ 25 deg. C) is obtained from peer-reviewed handbook (Lide 2008).
