First-aid measures
Description of first aid measures
General advice:
Do not leave the victim unattended.
If inhaled:
Remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. If not breathing, if breathing is irregular or if respiratory arrest occurs, provide artificial respiration or oxygen by trained personnel. It may be dangerous to the person providing aid to give mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. Get medical attention if adverse health effects persist or are severe. If unconscious, place in recovery position and get medical attention immediately. Maintain open airway. Loosen tight clothing such as a collar, tie, belt or waistband
In case of skin contact:
After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of water. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Get medical attention if symptoms occur. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse. Thoroughly clean shoes before reuse
In case of eye contact:
Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water, occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids. Remove contact lenses. Continue to rinse for at least 10 minutes. Protect unharmed eye. If eye irritation persists, consult a specialist.
If swallowed:
Rinse mouth with water. Take the victim into fresh air. Keep patient warm and at rest. Give small amounts of water to drink. Stop if the exposed person feels sick as vomiting may be dangerous. DO NOT induce vomiting unless directed to do so by a physician or poison control center. If vomiting occurs, the head should be kept low so that vomit does not enter the lungs. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. If unconscious, place in recovery position and get medical attention immediately. Keep respiratory tract clear. Loosen tight clothing such as a collar, tie, belt or waistband. If symptoms persist, call a physician.
Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed
Treatment:
No special actions required.
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media
Suitable extinguishing media:
In case of fire, use water spray (fog), foam, dry chemical or CO₂.
Unsuitable extinguishing media:
High volume water jet
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
Specific hazards during firefighting:
In a fire or if heated, a pressure increase will occur and the container may burst. Do not allow run-off from fire fighting to enter drains or water courses
Hazardous combustion products:
Carbon dioxide (CO2); Carbon monoxide; Oxides of phosphorus
Advice for firefighters
Special protective equipment for firefighters:
Fire-fighters should wear appropriate protective equipment and self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) with a full face-piece operated in positive pressure mode.
Further information:
Promptly isolate the scene by removing all persons from the vicinity of the incident if there is a fire. No action shall be taken involving any personal risk or without suitable training. Standard procedure for chemical fires. Collect contaminated fire extinguishing water separately. This must not be discharged into drains. Fire residues and contaminated fire extinguishing water must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
Personal precautions:
No action shall be taken involving any personal risk or without suitable training. Keep unnecessary and unprotected personnel from entering. Do not touch or walk through spilled material. Do not breathe vapors or spray mist. Ensure adequate ventilation. In case of inadequate ventilation wear respiratory protection. Use personal protective equipment.
Environmental precautions
Environmental precautions:
Avoid dispersal of spilled material and runoff and contact with soil, waterways, drains and sewers. If the product contaminates rivers and lakes or drains inform respective authorities.
Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up
Methods for cleaning up:
Stop leak if safe to do so. Do not allow into the sewerage system, surface waters or groundwater or into the soil. Disposed off through appropriate waste disposal carriers/authorities. Contaminated absorbent material may pose the same hazard as the spilled product. Keep in suitable, closed containers for disposal.
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling
Advice on safe handling:
Do not get in eyes or mouth or on skin. Do not breathe vapors/dust. Eating, drinking and smoking should be prohibited in areas where this material is handled, stored and processed. Workers should wash hands and face before eating, drinking and smoking. Keep in the original container or an approved alternative made from a compatible material, kept tightly closed when not in use. Empty containers retain product residue; observe all precautions for product. Do not re-use empty containers. Dispose of rinse water in accordance with local and national regulations
Advice on protection against fire and explosion:
Normal measures for preventive fire protection.
Hygiene measures:
When using do not eat or drink. When using do not smoke. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of workday
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
Requirements for storage areas and containers
Store in accordance with local regulations. Store in original container protected from direct sunlight in a dry, cool and well-ventilated area, away from incompatible materials and food and drink. Store in a corrosion resistant stainless steel container with a resistant inner liner. Keep containers sealed until ready for use. Containers that have been opened must be carefully resealed and kept upright to prevent leakage. Do not store in unlabeled containers. Use appropriate container to avoid environmental contamination. Electrical installations / working materials must comply with the techno-logical safety standards.
Advice on common storage:
Keep away from metals. Incompatible with bases.
Storage class (TRGS 510):
10, Combustible liquids
Further information on storage stability:
No decomposition if stored and applied as directed

Exposure controls / personal protection
Exposure controls
Personal protective equipment
Eye protection:
Tightly fitting safety goggles
Hand protection
Material: Polyvinyl chloride - PVC
Wearing time: < 60 min
Remarks:
The suitability for a specific workplace should be discussed with the producers of the protective gloves. After contamination with product change the gloves immediately and dispose of them according to relevant national and local regulations.
Skin and body protection:
Wear suitable protective clothing. Choose body protection according to the amount and concentration of the dangerous substance at the work place.
Respiratory protection:
Respirator selection must be based on known or anticipated exposure levels, the hazards of the product and the safe working limits of the selected respirator.
Filter type: Combined inorganic and acidic gas/vapor, ammonia/amines and organic vapor type (ABEK)
Protective measures:
Ensure that eye flushing systems and safety showers are located close to the working place.
Stability and reactivity
Reactivity:
No specific test data related to reactivity available for this product or its ingredients.
Chemical stability:
The product is chemically stable.
Possibility of hazardous reactions:
Hazardous reactions:
Under normal conditions of storage and use, hazardous reactions will not occur.
Conditions to avoid
Conditions to avoid:
Will react with most metals, releasing potentially explosive hydrogen gas. Incompatible with bases.
Incompatible materials
Materials to avoid:
Metals, Bases
Hazardous decomposition products:
No decomposition if stored and applied as directed.
Disposal considerations
Waste treatment methods
Product:
The generation of waste should be avoided or minimized wherever possible. Where possible recycling is preferred to disposal or incineration. Waste disposal should be in accordance with existing federal, state, provincial and/or local environmental controls. The product should not be allowed to enter drains, water courses or the soil. Do not contaminate ponds, waterways or ditches with chemical or used container. Dispose of wastes in an approved waste disposal facility.
Contaminated packaging:
Empty remaining contents. Dispose of as unused product. Empty containers retain residue and can be dangerous. Do not re-use empty containers
