PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

Persistence assessment: the substance is readily biodegradable

Bioaccumulation assessment:The octanol-water partition coefficient of the substance was measured by the shake flask method following OECD 107, resulting in a Log Kow of 2.93. The substance is believed to have low potential for bioaccumulation.

Toxicity Assessment: As all acute toxicity environmental tests performed (Fish, Daphnia, Algae) have a LC50 > 1 mg/l, the lowest acute effect being 8.25 mg/L, there is no short term aquatic hazard. As the EC10 is >1 mg/L, there is no long term aquatic hazard.

In conclusion, the substance could not be considered as a PBT or vPvB substance.
