Additional information

A 96-h LC50 value of >16 µg/L has been determined for the effects of the test substance on mortality of Oncorhynchus mykiss under flow-through exposure conditions. A NOEC of ≥16 µg/L has been determined in the same test. Continuation of exposure to a total of 14 days resulted in the same values (Springborn Laboratories 2000). Very similar results (7- and 35-day LC50 values of >15 µg/L and NOECs of ≥15 μg/L) have been obtained in an equally reliable test with another species (Pimephales promelas, Dow Corning 2005a). The results of a third test conducted at treatment levels well above the solubility of the substance also showed an absence of effects on mortality following short-term exposure.
