Description of key information

The particle size distribution study indicated a D50 of 5.16 µm for flue dust.

Additional information

The particle size distribution of flue dust was determined in an experimental study (Outotec 2010) using a laser diffraction system.

The study is not GLP, but followed sound scientific principles, is well documented and is considered suitable for use as a key study for this endpoint. Another sample of flue dust was tested (Johnson Matthey 2014) and the study measured a D50: 8.820 µm.
