Additional information

In accordance with Section 2 of REACH Annex XI, the vapour pressure study (as required in section 7.5) does not need to be conducted as the study is technically not possible. Attempts were made to determine the vapour pressure of the test item using the isoteniscope method. The test item was slowly heated in an isoteniscope tube under vacuum to allow the sample to degas. However, during this process the test item turned to a colourless gel and the test had to be abandoned. This happened on two occasions at temperatures between approximately 70 and 77°C. As the test item cooled it reverted to a clear colourless liquid. It has therefore not been possible to determine the vapour pressure using recommended test guidelines.
