Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Granulometry data has been acquired using a procedure designed to comply with the European Commission technical guidance document 'Particle Size Distribution, Fibre Length and Diameter Distribution' (June 1996), which satisfies the requirements of OECD Guideline 110. Using a sieve method, The three groups of Nickel Matte samples tested have the following proportions of test material having an inhalable particle size of less than 100 µm:
Nickel Matte (sulphidic low-copper): 0.1%
Nickel Matte (sulphidic high-copper): 1.5%
Nickel Matte (metallic): 0.3%
Please Note: The Nickel matte representative samples were used to test this endpoint. Each member of the Joint Submission may submit individual granulometry information in Section 1.4.
