Description of key information

No toxicity studies with terrestrial arthropods are available for dipropylene glycol butyl ether.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Based on physical and chemical property parameters of DPnB, it can be concluded that the ultimate compartment is the aquatic compartment. The risk characterisation shows that the PEC/PNEC ratio for soil is clearly < 1.

Therefore, direct and indirect exposure to the soil compartment is unlikely and a waiver is proposed for terrestrial toxicity testing.
